Privacy Policy

Kanitt POS helps organizations manage sales and business operations. The organization operating a workspace controls the business and customer information its staff enter.

Information processed

Account and workspace details (such as name, email, organization code, staff role, store assignment and subscription status); business records (products, inventory, suppliers, customers, sales, returns, shifts and payment references); uploaded product images and files; and technical or device data needed for sign-in, synchronization, security and offline-sale authorization.

If you submit a website demo or contact request, we store the name, email, phone, organization, business type, package interest and message you provide, plus a one-way hash of the network address used for spam prevention. Customer details are entered by the merchant and may include names and contact or loyalty information. Merchants are responsible for collecting information lawfully. Kanitt POS does not request payment-card numbers or card security codes.

How information is used

We use this information to authenticate users, provide POS and management features, synchronize workspace records, generate reports, support offline sales, protect accounts and respond to support requests. Website inquiries are stored for follow-up; the service may send an acknowledgment to you and a notification to the Kanitt team. If you choose Google sign-in, Google provides basic authentication profile details such as your account email and name.

Workspace records are available to users authorized by the organization. Kanitt does not sell personal information or use it to serve advertising. Service infrastructure and email-delivery providers process information as needed to operate the service and send verification, password-reset, inquiry and account-request messages.

Camera, local storage and offline records

The camera is used only when a user starts barcode scanning. Scanning runs on the device; the scanner does not save or upload camera frames. The app requires internet access to connect to Kanitt services. Printer discovery and printing may use Android Bluetooth or nearby-device capabilities.

The app may store a sign-in token, device identifier, offline license and unsynchronized sales on the device. Offline sales can contain the same business information as a completed sale and remain on the device until synchronization or removal. Uninstalling the app or clearing its storage removes local copies, but does not delete records already sent to the service.

Security and retention

App-to-service communication uses HTTPS, and access to workspace records is restricted by account permissions. No electronic storage or transmission method can be guaranteed completely secure. Workspace records are kept while the organization uses the service and may be retained where needed for accounting, security, dispute resolution or legal obligations.

Your choices and account deletion

Use Settings → Account & Privacy in the app to submit a verified account-deletion request, or follow our account deletion instructions. Requests are reviewed by the service team. When approved, sign-in credentials and direct profile details are removed or anonymized and device access is revoked. Business transaction, audit, security or dispute records may be retained where needed; the requester is told what remains and why. Organization owners can separately request workspace closure.
